A dance and music recital that features colorful costumes and rituals from various parts of the globe. The show includes a cast of over 150 students and professional dancers performing Egyptian Belly Dance, Flamenco, Polynesian dances, Brazilian Capoeira, Mexican folklore, Hip Hop and Ballet.
Every year, in December, the Academy of International Dance presents its Annual "Nutcracker" performance in the Santa Ana High School’s Bill Medley Auditorium. The show features professional ballet artists, over 75 ballet students, an array of beautiful costumes, and spectacular backdrops.
Mrs. Sonia Miškulin, feels this festive event allows inner city families to experience the beauty of a classical ballet performance. In addition, she believes it brings the community together and enriches their knowledge in the performing arts.
